The present study is an attempt to assess the role of aquaculture and its marketing in the sustainable rural livelihoods of Tripura and the role of cultured fish in family nutrition and food security. An attempt has been made in this study to understand the means and outcomes of aquaculture activities being practiced by the farmers in the study area. The study also tries to assess the role of women in aquaculture activities and the impact of aquaculture on their livelihoods.
